Kegel Muscles: the Sex Workout

“She squeezed his manhood with everything she had, squeezed like she never did before because she wanted him to stay where he was: inside of her.”

Whatcha think?  I thought I would use a little melodramatic humor to illustrate what he Kegel muscle does.  It is the series of muscles around the pelvic floor of a woman.  We use it not just during sex but also when going to the bathroom.  (Yes, for those of you who weren’t aware, the ‘stopping the pee squeeze’ is the same as the ‘penis squeeze’.)

You actually can exercise this muscle so that it becomes stronger and more flexible.  They even have rubber ball and spring-based instruments to measure your Kegel muscle strength.  But I don’t know if all of that is necessary.

When I got pregnant, my gynecologist suggested I squeeze my Kegels at every stoplight for the duration of the light.  I thought ‘no problem’- but it actually took a bit of effort, at first.

But those efforts paid off not just when I delivered but before and after when I found I had all kinds of squeezing skills during sex that I didn’t have before.  The extra tone made it more enjoyable for both of us.

So, ladies, clench and hold at every stoplight for a minute or more for some more intense sex.

Happy clenching!
